Not everyone has an Apple TV — but almost every screen has a browser. OnFire Display is a web-based companion that lets you cast your photos, stories, and shared content to any screen. Smart TVs, laptops, tablets, digital signage — if it can open a webpage, it can become your display.
🌐 How It Works
OnFire Display runs at display.onfire.so — a lightweight web app optimized for full-screen display on any device. No downloads, no accounts on the display device, no configuration.
Open the URL
Navigate to display.onfire.so on any browser
Scan QR Code
Use the OnFire app on your phone to scan the pairing code
Go Full Screen
Your photos and stories fill the screen automatically
📱 Works Everywhere
Because it's a standard web app, OnFire Display works on virtually any platform:
Smart TVs
Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense — any TV with a built-in browser can display your content.
Laptops & Desktops
Open Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, go full screen, and turn any computer into a display.
Tablets
iPads, Android tablets, or Fire tablets — great for bedside or kitchen displays.
Digital Signage
Commercial displays, kiosks, and Raspberry Pi setups — just point the browser to the URL.
⚡ Features
- ▶ Real-Time Sync — New photos and stories appear on the display as they're shared
- ▶ Remote Control — Skip, pause, and switch modes from your phone
- ▶ Clock & Weather — Optional overlay showing time, date, and local weather
- ▶ Transition Effects — Smooth fade, slide, and Ken Burns effects between photos
- ▶ Auto-Sleep — Display dims or sleeps on a schedule to save energy
🔒 Secure by Design
Each pairing session generates a unique, time-limited token. The display device never stores your credentials or media files permanently. When you disconnect, the session ends and the display returns to the pairing screen.
💡 Apple TV + Web Display
OnFire Display on the web is the cross-platform companion to the Apple TV Display App. If you have an Apple TV, the native app gives you the best experience with Siri Remote integration and background playback. For every other screen, the web version has you covered.
