General

What is OnFire?
OnFire is an all-in-one AI-powered platform that combines messaging, audio and video calls, task management, an integrated shop and booking system, communities, social feeds, stories, and more. It's designed to help you connect with people, learn from communities, and grow your business — all from a single app.
What platforms is OnFire available on?
OnFire is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. You can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Is OnFire free to use?
Yes! OnFire's core features — messaging, voice and video calls, stories, communities, tasks, and basic shop access — are free to use. We also offer optional Premium, Gold, and Elite subscription tiers that unlock advanced features like AI tools, business analytics, unlimited cloud storage, and more.
What languages does OnFire support?
OnFire is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Estonian, and Latvian. We're continuously adding more languages. The app automatically uses your device's language setting, or you can change it manually in Settings.
Does OnFire have dark mode?
Yes! OnFire supports dark mode. You can toggle it in Settings or let it follow your system theme automatically.

Messaging

What messaging features does OnFire offer?
OnFire offers a full-featured messaging experience including:
  • One-on-one and group chats

  • Message replies, forwarding, and pinning
  • Typing indicators and read receipts

What are Stories?
Stories let you share photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours. You can add text, draw on them, and see who viewed your story. Stories appear at the top of your chat list.
Does OnFire have an AI assistant?
Yes! OnFire includes a built-in AI assistant you can chat with directly. It supports text and voice modes, can help answer questions, generate ideas, and assist with tasks. AI features include streaming text responses and a dedicated AI mode selector.
Can I create group chats?
Absolutely. You can create group chats with multiple members, assign admins, share media, and manage group settings. Group chats support all the same features as one-on-one conversations, including voice messages, media sharing, polls, and shared task management.
Do messages sync across devices?
OnFire uses a local-first architecture, meaning your messages load instantly from your device's local storage and sync with the server in the background. This ensures fast performance even on slow connections.

Calls

What types of calls can I make?
OnFire supports voice calls and video calls, both one-on-one and in groups. Calls are powered by LiveKit for high-quality, low-latency communication. You can switch between audio and video during a call, toggle your camera and microphone, use the speaker, and switch between front and rear cameras.
Can I make phone calls to regular numbers?
Yes! OnFire includes a dialer that lets you call regular phone numbers. You can browse your contacts, view call history (with missed, inbound, and outbound tabs), and manage multiple phone numbers. Call history shows duration, cost, and status details.
Do calls work with iOS CallKit?
Yes. OnFire integrates with iOS CallKit, so incoming calls appear on your lock screen just like regular phone calls. You can accept, decline, or mute calls from the native iOS call interface.
Can I share items during a call?
Yes! During a call you can share products, services, courses, events, contacts, and links. You can also open the chat directly from the call screen to send messages.

Shop & Booking

What can I do with the Shop?
The OnFire Shop is a built-in marketplace where you can:
  • Buy and sell products with full cart and checkout flow
  • Book services with date and time slot selection
  • Enroll in courses for education and training
  • Browse events and join activities
  • View product reviews, specifications, and similar items
  • Follow sellers and discover featured products
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can pay with credit or debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, or Google Pay. All payment information is encrypted end-to-end. Checkout includes order summaries, shipping details, tax calculation, and optional order notes.
How do I book a service?
Browse available services in the Shop, select one, and tap "Book Now". You'll see a scheduling screen where you can pick a date (list or calendar view) and available time slot. After selecting, proceed to checkout to confirm and pay for your booking.
Can I sell products or offer services on OnFire?
Yes! You can create your own products and services directly in the app using the product and service creation tools. Set your price, add descriptions, photos, videos, specifications, and manage inventory. You can also create and sell courses, and list items in channel marketplaces. What is the Channel Marketplace?
Channels can have their own Products tab where members can list and browse classified-style ads. This works like a mini marketplace within each channel, with search, filters, and moderation tools for channel admins.

Communities

What are Communities?
Communities are spaces for groups of people with shared interests. You can discover public communities, join or create your own, post content (text, images, videos, links, polls), comment, like, and share posts. Communities can be public or private (invite-only), and have rules, moderators, events, and media galleries.
Can I manage my own community?
Yes. As a community creator, you can edit community info, manage members and roles, ban members, review join requests, set community rules and guidelines, enable events and marketplace features, and configure privacy settings.
What's the difference between chats and communities?
Chats are for real-time messaging with individuals or groups. Communities are more like forums — they support posts, comments, topics, events, and larger group interactions. Think of chats as conversations and communities as gathering places.

Tasks & Goals

How does task management work?
OnFire has a built-in task manager where you can create tasks with clear names, assign them to categories (Mind, Health, Work, Social), set due dates, and configure weekly repeating schedules. Tasks support subtasks, notes, and progress tracking. You can view tasks in a list or calendar view.
Does OnFire sync with Apple Reminders?
Yes! On iOS, OnFire can sync your tasks with Apple Reminders, so your tasks appear in both apps. You can import existing reminders into OnFire or export OnFire tasks to Reminders.
What are Goals and Habits?
OnFire includes Goals and Habits features to help you build positive routines. Set personal goals, track habits with daily check-ins, and use AI to link habits to goals for a more holistic approach to personal development.

Wallet

What is the Wallet?
The Wallet is your financial hub in OnFire. It shows your points balance, value, payment cards, transaction history, and revenue streams. You can top up your balance, withdraw funds, view financial reports, and manage payment methods — all in one place.
What are Points and how do I earn them?
Points are OnFire's reward currency. You earn them through platform activity, achievements, completing tasks, engaging with communities, and business milestones. Points have a monetary value and can be used within the OnFire ecosystem. Check your Wallet for your current balance and earning history.
How do I manage advertising on OnFire?
The Wallet includes advertising tools where you can create and manage ad campaigns, set ad preferences, and track ad performance. Revenue from ads appears in your Wallet as a revenue stream with detailed analytics.

Premium Subscriptions

What subscription tiers are available?
OnFire offers three subscription tiers:
  • Premium — Advanced advertising tools, multi-product store, AI response handler, AI course creator, landing page builder, and business analytics
  • Gold — Everything in Premium, plus priority support, unlimited cloud storage, and advanced AI features
  • Elite — Everything in Gold, plus a dedicated account manager and exclusive capabilities
All tiers are available with monthly or annual billing (save 40% with annual plans).
Can I restore my subscription on a new device?
Yes. Use the "Restore Purchases" option on the subscription screen to restore your existing subscription on a new device. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Why does OnFire offer paid subscriptions?
While OnFire's free version already provides more features than most messaging apps, advanced capabilities like AI tools, cloud storage, and business analytics require additional infrastructure costs. Subscriber contributions help cover these expenses and keep OnFire free for everyone.

Safety & Privacy

How does OnFire protect minors?
OnFire takes child safety seriously. We require age verification during sign-up and comply with COPPA and applicable state laws. Our safety systems include on-device AI content scanning, parental notifications for minor accounts, and NCMEC reporting obligations. Read our full Age Verification & Minor Safety policy for details.
Does OnFire scan my messages?
OnFire uses on-device AI safety scanning to detect CSAM and harmful content. This processing happens locally on your device for privacy, and only flags content that violates safety policies. Text messages are scanned for safety classification only — we do not read or store your private conversations for advertising or profiling purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How is my data stored?
OnFire uses a local-first approach — your messages, contacts, and data are stored on your device first and synced securely with our servers. All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Media files are stored securely on cloud storage with access controls.
Can I report harmful content or users?
Yes. You can report communities, posts, and users directly from within the app. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. For urgent safety concerns, you can also contact us at safety@onfire.so.
Where can I read the full Privacy Policy and Terms?

Account

How do I create an account?
Download OnFire from the App Store or Google Play Store and follow the onboarding flow. You'll provide your email, create a password, complete age verification, and set up your profile. The onboarding guides you through all the features step by step.
Can I customise my profile?
Yes! You can set a profile photo, display name, username, bio, occupation, education, and experience details. Your profile also shows your shop, posts, followers, and achievements. You can share your profile via QR code.
How do I manage notifications?
Go to Settings to manage your notification preferences. You can control notifications for messages, calls, communities, orders, and more. You can also mute specific chats or communities individually.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion from the Settings screen within the app. Alternatively, email privacy@onfire.so with your request. Account deletion removes your personal data, messages, and profile in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
