1. About These Terms
These Live Gigs Weekly Sessions Terms (the "Weekly Sessions Terms") apply when you book a weekly series of Live Gigs lessons with the same tutor. In them, "you" means the adult who books and pays, "learner" means the person being taught (you, or your child), "tutor" means the teacher, tutor or coach who gives the lessons, and "we", "us" and "OnFire" mean OnFire Messenger Ltd. (Ireland, company number 796932) if you are in the European Economic Area, or OnFire Messenger Inc. (Delaware) if you are in the United States, the United Kingdom or anywhere else outside the EEA. Buyers in the EEA use the European editions of the documents linked below; everyone else uses the United States editions. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you keep your statutory 14-day cancellation right under UK law (section 9), whichever edition applies.
They add to, and do not replace, the OnFire Terms of Service (United States or Europe), the Refund and Cancellation Policy (United States or Europe), the Privacy Policy (United States or Europe), the Child Safety Policy and, when you book for a child, the Live Gigs Guardian Terms. The tutor's obligations are in the Live Gigs Seller Terms. If these Weekly Sessions Terms and those documents differ about a weekly series, these Weekly Sessions Terms apply.
Who provides what. Your lessons are provided by the tutor, an independent seller acting as a trader on their own account; your contract for the lessons is with the tutor. OnFire runs the booking, the calendar, the video room, reminders and cancellations, collects payment for the tutor, and sells you its own service fee. Consumer rights about the lessons are owed to you by the tutor, and rights about OnFire's service fee and booking service by OnFire; in practice you use the same buttons in Live Gigs for both, and OnFire handles every refund described here.
Acceptance. You accept these Weekly Sessions Terms when you book a weekly series, by ticking the confirmation that names this version (2026-10-19) and the separate automatic renewal consent in section 5. We record the version you accepted, the renewal terms you were shown, what you consented to, and when.
2. The Key Terms in One Place
Automatic renewal. A weekly series is paid in advance in blocks of 4 weeks (4 or 8 lessons). It renews automatically. We charge the next block to your saved card 2 days before it starts, at the price shown to you, and keep doing so every 4 weeks until you or the tutor cancel. We email you 1 day before every renewal charge. You can cancel at any time in Live Gigs > My sessions > Cancel series; cancelling stops all future charges straight away.
| What happens | |
|---|---|
| Frequency | 1 or 2 lessons a week, on the weekdays and at the times you picked from the tutor's calendar |
| Price per block | The tutor's price for the lesson length, plus OnFire's 5% service fee (at least 0.50), multiplied by the number of lessons in the block. The exact total is shown before you pay. |
| First charge | When you book, for the first 4-week block |
| Renewal charge | 2 days before each new block starts, every 4 weeks, until cancelled |
| Reminders | An email about 26 hours before every lesson, while you can still cancel it free, and an email 1 day before every renewal charge |
| You cancel one lesson | 24 hours or more before it starts: refunded in full. Less than 24 hours before, or the tutor is there and you do not attend: charged in full. If nobody joins, it is refunded. |
| You cancel the series | Any time, online. No further charges. Lessons 24 hours or more away are refunded; lessons less than 24 hours away still take place and are charged. |
| The tutor cancels or does not attend | That lesson is refunded in full, including the service fee |
| Price | Locked for the life of the series: the price per lesson and the service fee never change while it runs (section 8) |
3. What a Weekly Series Is
- • After a lesson with a tutor, you can book further lessons with the same tutor as a weekly series. The tutor must offer it: their lesson times come from a weekly availability calendar the tutor keeps in OnFire.
- • You choose 1 or 2 lessons a week, the lesson length and the weekday and start time of each, from the times the tutor's calendar shows as free. The weekly time is fixed in the tutor's calendar time zone. We show it to you converted to your own time zone. When the clocks change for daylight saving time on different dates in your zone and the tutor's, the lesson stays at the same time for the tutor, so for those weeks it may start one hour earlier or later in your local time; we show you this before you book. The 24-hour rules in sections 6 and 7 are measured from the lesson's actual start time.
- • The series runs in blocks of 4 weeks. It continues, block after block, until you cancel it, the tutor ends it, or it ends under section 12. There is no minimum number of blocks.
- • If the tutor's calendar is not free at a lesson time in a coming block (for example during a holiday), that lesson is not booked and not charged, and we tell you by email which lessons are left out.
- • Each lesson is a scheduled Live Gigs session. Moving a single lesson to another time is not available yet; you can cancel it under section 6.
- • A weekly series can be booked by an adult learner for themselves, or by a parent or legal guardian for their child. The rules for children's lessons (the Live Gigs Guardian Terms and section 10) apply only to a series booked for a child.
4. Prices and Payment
- • What you pay. For each block you pay, in advance, the tutor's price for each lesson in the block plus OnFire's service fee of 5% of that price (at least 0.50 in the lesson currency) per lesson. The checkout shows the price per lesson, the service fee, the number of lessons and the total for the block, in euros or US dollars, before you pay. Prices include any VAT or sales tax that applies.
- • How we charge. Series lessons are paid by card. The first block is charged to your card when you book. Each later block is charged automatically, without you having to be present, to the card saved for Live Gigs on your OnFire account, 2 days before the first lesson of that block. When you book, you authorise us to make these renewal charges until the series ends.
- • OnFire collects payment for the tutor. The tutor appoints OnFire as their limited payment collection agent, to collect payment for the lessons from you. When you pay OnFire for a block, you have paid the tutor for the lessons in it and owe the tutor nothing more for them, even if OnFire does not pass the money on. OnFire holds the tutor's share of each lesson until that lesson has taken place (or has been cancelled late, section 6) and then pays it to the tutor as described in the Live Gigs Seller Terms.
- • What a prepayment buys. A block pays for specific lessons with a specific tutor, on the dates and at the times booked. It is not a credit, a balance or stored value: it cannot be spent on anything else or transferred, and lessons that do not take place are refunded as these terms describe.
- • If a renewal payment fails. We email you with a link to pay, and we try your card once more automatically 24 hours later. If the block is still unpaid 1 hour before its first lesson, its lessons are released and do not take place, nothing is owed for them, and the series ends. We tell you and the tutor by email.
- • Refunds in full. When a lesson is refunded, you get back the whole amount you paid for it; OnFire bears the card processing fees.
- • No other charges. The tutor must not ask you for any payment outside OnFire.
5. Automatic Renewal and Your Consent
A weekly series is an automatic renewal plan. Before you pay, the checkout shows you, next to the pay button: that the series renews automatically every 4 weeks until you cancel; the amount of each renewal charge and when it is taken (2 days before each block); that we email you 1 day before each renewal charge; and how to cancel online. You are asked to give your consent to the automatic renewal separately, by ticking a box that is not ticked in advance. You cannot book a series without it, and nothing about the renewal is hidden behind a link.
Confirmation. Straight after you book, we email you a confirmation that sets out the renewal terms, the cancellation policy, how to cancel online, a link to these Weekly Sessions Terms in the version you accepted, and, if you are in the EEA or the UK, the confirmation of your request in section 9.
Before every renewal. We email you 1 day before each renewal charge (about 3 days before the block starts), with the date and amount of the charge, the lessons it covers and a link to cancel. If you cancel before the charge is taken, you are not charged.
Records. We keep a record of the renewal terms you were shown and of your consent for 3 years after the series ends.
6. Cancelling a Single Lesson
| What happens | Lesson price | Service fee |
|---|---|---|
| You cancel 24 hours or more before the lesson starts | Refunded in full | Refunded in full |
| You cancel less than 24 hours before the lesson starts | Charged in full (paid to the tutor) | Not refunded |
| The tutor joins, but neither you nor the learner joins within 10 minutes of the start time | Charged in full (paid to the tutor) | Not refunded |
| The tutor cancels the lesson, at any time | Refunded in full | Refunded in full |
| The tutor does not join within 10 minutes of the start time | Refunded in full | Refunded in full |
| Nobody joins: neither the tutor nor you or the learner | Refunded in full | Refunded in full |
| A technical failure on OnFire's side stops the lesson taking place | Refunded in full | Refunded in full |
- • To cancel a lesson, open Live Gigs > My sessions and choose Cancel lesson. Before you confirm, we show you whether you will get a refund. We confirm every cancellation by email.
- • Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, normally within 5–10 business days, as described in section 9 of the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- • Once a lesson has started, the rules in section 10 apply.
- • Cancelling a lesson does not cancel the series. Cancelled lessons are not carried over or rescheduled.
- • If you think a cancellation charge is wrong (for example because of an emergency or a problem on OnFire's side), contact support. We may refund it as a goodwill gesture; this does not limit your legal rights.
7. Cancelling the Series
You can cancel the series at any time, online, in the same place you booked it: Live Gigs > My sessions > Cancel series. You do not have to call, email or give a reason. If we ever show you an offer before you confirm, the Cancel series button stays on screen the whole time, and one more tap cancels.
- • Cancelling takes effect immediately: no further renewal will be charged.
- • Every lesson that starts 24 hours or more after you cancel is cancelled and refunded in full, including the service fee, even if it belongs to a block you have already paid for.
- • Lessons that start less than 24 hours after you cancel still take place and are charged, unless you are withdrawing under section 9.
- • We confirm the cancellation straight away on screen and by email, with the refund amount and the last lesson that will take place.
- • You can also cancel by emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account; it takes effect when we receive it. The Cancel series button is the quickest way.
If the tutor ends the series (for example because their availability changes), every future lesson is cancelled and refunded in full, including the service fee, and no further renewal is charged. We tell you by email. A tutor who wants to change their price ends the series in this way (section 8).
8. Your Price Is Locked
- • The price per lesson and OnFire's service fee are fixed when you book the series. Every block is charged at that price for as long as the series runs. Neither the tutor nor OnFire can raise it during the series.
- • If a tutor wants to charge a different price, they must end the series. That counts as the tutor cancelling (section 7): every lesson that has not taken place is refunded in full, including the service fee, and no further renewal is charged. You can then book a new series with the tutor at the new price if you wish.
9. Your 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EEA and UK)
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from the weekly series (in the UK, the right to cancel it) within 14 days of booking it, without giving a reason. This is in addition to your right to cancel under sections 6 and 7.
- • Starting within the 14 days. Lessons usually start within 14 days of booking. So that they can, the checkout asks you to request expressly that the lessons start during the withdrawal period, and to acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed. We confirm both in the booking confirmation email.
- • What you pay if you withdraw. We refund everything you paid, less the price and service fee of each lesson that has already taken place, or was under way, when you told us you were withdrawing. The 24-hour rule does not apply to a withdrawal: every lesson that has not taken place is refunded, including a lesson you cancelled less than 24 hours before it and that was already paid to the tutor (OnFire bears that cost). We refund you without undue delay and within 14 days, to the payment method you used.
- • How to withdraw. During the 14 days, Live Gigs > My sessions shows a Withdraw from contract here button for the series. You confirm on the next screen, and we email you an acknowledgement with the date and time we received it. You can also send us a clear statement, for example using the model withdrawal form in section 4 of the European Refund and Cancellation Policy, to [email protected].
- • Once, at the first booking. The right of withdrawal is given once, when you first book the series. The series is one contract that continues block by block at the price shown to you when you booked, so a renewal does not start a new 14-day period. You can still cancel the series at any time under section 7.
10. The Lessons Themselves
- • Each lesson takes place in the Live Gigs room at its scheduled time. A link appears in My sessions and in the reminder email; the room opens 5 minutes before the start, so that you can check your camera and microphone.
- • Series lessons have no free trial: the free minutes are part of your first, instant Live Gigs session only.
- • The paid lesson starts at the scheduled time once you and the tutor are both in the room. If one of you joins late, within the 10 minutes in section 6, the lesson starts when you are both there and still runs for its full booked length. The clock does not pause if someone loses connection; either side can rejoin until the lesson ends.
- • If you end a lesson early, it is charged in full. If the tutor ends it early, or leaves and does not come back within 5 minutes, you are refunded the part not delivered and the service fee. Otherwise, the rules for ending any Live Gigs lesson apply. Series lessons cannot be extended.
- • Every lesson is recorded, as described in the Live Gigs Seller Terms and the Privacy Policy, and kept privately for 30 days unless a report or dispute is open.
- • Lessons for a child. The Live Gigs Guardian Terms apply to every lesson in the series: you stay on camera in the same room as your child for the whole lesson, the tutor must hold an approved background check for the whole series (if it lapses, the affected lessons are cancelled and refunded), and the tutor sees your child's profile only from the countdown before each lesson until 15 minutes after it ends. If a lesson ends because you left the camera, it is treated as ended by you. The child's first name on the series is kept while the series runs and deleted 30 days after it ends, and emails about the series never contain your child's name.
- • You can report the tutor at any time. A report during a lesson for a child ends that lesson at once. If you block the tutor, or if after a report the tutor may no longer teach children, the series ends and every future lesson is refunded in full.
11. Service Fee Waiver (Not for Series Lessons)
As a goodwill gesture, OnFire waives its service fee on your next Live Gigs lesson booked through a search when you send us a private problem report about a lesson (whatever star rating you gave, or none), or automatically when the tutor did not show up, the tutor left, or a paid lesson lasted less than half its booked length without you ending it. You can receive one waiver in any 30 days, and it can be used within 30 days. It never depends on your star rating or on what you write in a review, it is not a payment for a review, and it does not affect your right to a refund or any other legal right. It comes out of OnFire's fee: the tutor's price is unchanged and the tutor is paid in full.
The waiver does not apply to weekly series lessons. A series keeps the price you booked it at; a waiver is not used up by a series lesson and is not deducted from a series charge.
12. When a Series Ends for Other Reasons
- • A series ends, and its future lessons are cancelled, if the tutor's account or eligibility is suspended or ends (for example a lapsed background check for a child's lessons), if the tutor's calendar has no free lesson time in two blocks in a row, if you or the tutor block the other, if your or the tutor's OnFire account is closed or suspended, if the child profile the series is for is deleted, or if we stop offering weekly series.
- • Every lesson that does not take place for one of these reasons is refunded in full, including the service fee, and no further renewal is charged.
- • If you dispute a series charge with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), the series ends and its later lessons are cancelled; the money for that block is then dealt with through the dispute rather than refunded by us.
13. Emails About Your Series
While you have a weekly series we email you: a booking confirmation; a reminder about 26 hours before every lesson, while you can still cancel it free; a reminder 1 day before every renewal charge; a receipt for every charge; notice of a failed payment; and a confirmation of every cancellation, withdrawal and refund. You can turn lesson reminder emails off in Settings > Notifications; the other emails are service messages that are part of the series, so they are always sent while it is active. They go to the email address on your OnFire account; please keep it up to date. Times in our emails are shown in your own time zone. Our emails never contain a child's name. They are sent from OnFire's own mail server, hosted in Germany. How we handle this data is in the Privacy Policy (United States or Europe).
14. Your Legal Rights and Complaints
Nothing in these Weekly Sessions Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including, in the EEA, Directive 2011/83/EU and the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022; in the UK, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015; and, in the United States, federal law and the automatic renewal laws of your state. Lessons must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If you have a complaint, contact support in the OnFire app or [email protected]; complaints and disputes are otherwise handled as described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Terms of Service edition that applies to you.
15. Changes to These Terms
Each version of these Weekly Sessions Terms has a version identifier, shown at the top of this page; the current version is 2026-10-19. If we make a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your series, and you can cancel the series before then without charge. A change never applies to a block that is already paid.
